You have to see it to believe it.
LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau, who has exponentially increased in popularity in recent months, decided to create some fantastic content with Gareth Bale, one of the best soccer players of the 21st century.
Playing in a Pro-Am event at Real Club Valderrama, which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup and will host LIV Golf Andalucia again this week, DeChambeau and Bale decided to have a little fun on the 18th tee.
DeChambeau began juggling a golf ball with one of his wedges and then decided to juggle with thigh and foot. He then turned it over to Bale, who put his spectacular footwork to good use:
Good on the LIV Golf social team to capture this incredible moment—a perfect crossover between two athletes who play remarkably different sports.
DeChambeau has 15 professional wins, including two U.S. Opens in the past four years. He also has nine PGA Tour wins and three victories on LIV Golf.
Bale, meanwhile, announced his retirement from professional soccer after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he led his native Wales to the biggest sporting event in the world for the first time since 1958. He also scored Wales’ only goal of the tournament, a penalty kick against the United States during the first match of the group stage. His club career was outstanding, too. Bale played for England’s Southampton F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. before joining Real Madrid in 2013. He then returned to Tottenham in 2020.
Bale has plenty of time to play golf nowadays and perform astonishing tricks and kicks. Perhaps we will see more of Bale—and collaborations like this—on the golf course going forward.
