Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. This National Park has been on my bucket list for at least a decade. I came across pictures of it on Pinterest at least 10 years ago and had to make hiking there a reality. This park has 16 turquoise lakes and waterfalls everywhere you look. The greenery is almost overwhelming, and I took a mental picture every turn.
Andrew and I wanted to do the 11-mile hike here to see as much as we could. It was even better than I imagined. This world is something else.
I’m not kidding when I say we saw at least 100 waterfalls. If I could, I would do this hike every day of my life. I must bring my kids back here one day. You don’t even notice how far you are going on this hike because you are so distracted by everything you see.
Now, let’s talk about pieces from Athleta that I took with us (and yes, I did change into different outfits along the way in the restrooms because I wanted to test them all out in my new favorite place in the world.
The Conscious Crop Bra has the perfect amount of compression to keep everything in place. The material is one that you never want to take off (and you miss it when you do have to take it off). It honestly works so well for running, hiking, yoga, strength… really, whatever you love to do. I LOVE it in red and storm cloud… it goes with everything. I’ve also tried it on its own and under a tank; both options are lovely.
The Mesh Racer Run Mid Rise 4 Short are a perfect classic pair of running shorts that will always be in style. They have built-in briefs, a waistband that is thick and stays in place, and a pocket. They are made with the lightest material (you forget you are wearing them)! You’ll be seeing me wearing both of these pieces for years.
A few of you told me that I needed to try out the Salutation Stash High Rise Leggings, and you were very right. Very right. The material is so soft (it feels like a hug on your legs) and the pockets on the side make it easy to stash everything you need while out on your run/hike/errands. These leggings wash better than any leggings I have.
The In Motion Seamless Tank comes in so many fun colors to match every short/pants you own. It’s seamless to help us avoid chafing (hallelujah), and the open-hole stitchwork keeps us nice and cool! I’m a big fan.

I’ve told Andrew that my purchasing of many joggers over the 8 years we’ve been married has been part of my research project. Well, it’s time for me to put this research project to rest because I have found my favorite pair-> Trekkie North High Rise Jogger.
These beauties are sleek yet made with such light material. The pockets are perfect, the cut is so flattering, and the waistband makes you question why anyone would ever use a different waistband on a pair of joggers. ENJOY!
