Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
I am sweating buckets each run, every child in the neighborhood is here grabbing snacks (my goal with our pantry), and we are out past my winter bedtime by a solid two hours because we are playing night games each night… These are the best of times, but I need a little extra help to survive it all;).  I thought today I would share some items from my survival kit that help me stay keep my head above water and comfortable all summer long.  I’ve recently discovered how awesome the clothing AND home selections are at Walmart, and I hope you find some things to help make your summer even better.
Now, for my survival guide:
*Get some running clothes that help you stay cool and comfortable while actually sticking to your budget. Â I feel like I hit the actual goldmine with these finds. Â You can get an entire running outfit from Walmart for the price of running socks at some places;) Â It all feels and looks so good on the run.
A pair of running shorts (SO many great colors, I love the thick waistband and the pockets!) +  This $5 cropped racerback tank!Â
This tank is so great for casual wear too…
*We try to eat outside as much as humanly possible. Â This survival tip makes it possible to help keep my house somewhat clean while my kids think I am putting together a picnic because I am a fun and creative mom;) Â
This picnic basket (with tray) and waterproof picnic blanket make eating dinner outside feel like quite the treat.
I adore how the basket collapses for easy storage. Â It is also incredibly easy to clean!
*Did you guys know that Walmart carries some amazing bands online, like Ninja and GE Appliances. This pebble ice machine ($182 off) and the ninja creami ($50 off) keep me cooled down and fueled (because cooking in the summer should be illegal… we just want ice cream, fresh fruit, and cold drinks all summer).  I am not kidding when I say I go through at least 10 cups of pebble ice a day in all of my drinks from sunrise to sunset during the summer.  Also, the ninja creami makes getting in more protein even more delicious.
*I try and wear the softest, most comfortable clothing I possibly can when I have some time to relax in an air-conditioned spot. I was actually shocked by the comfort and quality of this sweatshirt and sweatpants. I want to live in them, and once the temperatures drop, they will become my errand outfit this fall.  I can’t wait for thank you messages after you try these on because it shouldn’t be possible to have this soft of material for such a good deal.
*I must make time each week to read or completely zone out alone during the summer.  Having a a soft throw makes it even better.
*Making a spot where I feel cool as a cucumber after having kids throw water balloons at me all day also helps me to survive summer;). Â
You guys.  Walmart home is unbelievable.  You won’t expect the deals you get for the most beautiful home decor. Â
Side table, ceramic vases, flameless candle, fake book decor, black knot, candle holder.
And this plantar pot, faux olive tree make my relaxing time feel even more peaceful in this room.
*Date night is mandatory for us all year long, but especially in the summer.  I just need to go eat a good dinner with Andrew in peace, and I love this loose linen one ($18).  It is so light and cool.  Walmart has so many summer dresses to choose from; get excited to check them out.
I hope your summer is off to the best start. I would love it if you kept me posted on what you are up to all summer long.
Tell me anything that is part of your summer survival guide!
