Hold onto your hats, kids. I am finally ready to officially announce the release of my new cookbook, The Protein Advantage! 100 High Protein, Low Carb Recipes for healthier living.

This is a project over a year in the making. And by the time it actually hits the shelves in August, it will be closer to 18 months. But I can say with great pride that this one is worth the wait. And worth the pre-order.

I’ve been hinting about this one for a while now, as well as writing plenty of low carb high protein recipes for my website. Not just another high protein cookbook

Just as I did with The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking, I poured my heart and soul into this book. Because I wasn’t about to write a book extolling the virtues of a high protein diet without digging deep (and I mean DEEP) into the science. As many of you know, I am not one to make spurious health claims about my recipes!

I spent months reading the latest research on the advantages of protein-forward diets, particularly as we age. And what I read was eye-opening. For example, did you know that the RDA (recommended daily allowance) for nutrients like protein doesn’t actually mean the optimal amount you should consume? Instead, it refers to the minimum amount any individual needs to avoid malnutrition. The RDA also refers to any adult, from ages 18 to 102, despite vastly different protein needs as we age.

I also spent many months developing and testing a wide range of low carb recipes designed to maximize your protein intake whilst simultaneously tempting your tastebuds. If you’ve followed my work for a while, you know that flavor and consistency are of the utmost importance to me. I believe a health diet can, and indeed should, taste good!
