Are you ready for this Ninja CREAMi strawberry sorbet? I know some of you have been patiently waiting for this dairy-free strawberry sorbet since I shared a reel on instagram.
This vegan sorbet has such bright and vibrant flavors, and is incredibly easy to make.
Needless to say, this strawberry sorbet is especially easy thanks to the Ninja CREAMi.
This post isn’t sponsored by Ninja, but it’s the appliance that I use to make this sorbet deliciously smooth.
Unlike store-bought brands, this Ninja CREAMi strawberry sorbet doesn’t have any added thickeners or stabilizers, and also no added sugar or sweetener – unless you choose to add some date syrup or maple syrup.
This Ninja CREAMi sorbet uses this recipe as a base, which makes it especially fresh and vibrant!
Of course, you can substitute other seasonal berries for the strawberries in this sorbet. Strawberries are particularly sweet and ripe at this time of the year, so they are a natural choice. But you can also make it with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or a blend of berries.
One important note, in my original recipe I offer the option to use less chia (1 1/2 tbsp) for a thinner pudding, or up to 2 1/2 tbsp chia seed for a thicker pudding. I recommend using up to 2 tbsp of chia to transform into this sorbet, but I’ve you’ve made the pudding with the full 2 1/2 tbsp of chia don’t let that stop you from making this gorgeous vegan strawberry sorbet.
Now, like most Ninja CREAMi recipes, I do find you need to run a few spins to get a creamy consistency. In this photo below you’ll see it’s still “icy”. Let it run another cycle (or two) until you get a gelato-like smoothness. When it’s smoother and softer, the tastebuds can hold and embrace the full flavors of the berries – and the dragonfruit powder, if using.
While this sorbet is delicious served on its own, you could also serve in a bowl alongside my Vanilla Ninja CREAMi ice cream. That recipe has become so popular!
Gosh, one more look at the phenomenal color of this dairy-free strawberry gelato! Isn’t it stunning? Nature offers us so many colors and flavors, it’s quite astonishing.
A color-feast for the eyes, for sure.
Friends, I hope you enjoy this Ninja CREAMi strawberry sorbet.
Do share how you enjoyed it – served it – in the comments. I love learning from you. x Dreena

Instructions
-
For the strawberries, don’t worry about how much to chop them. Just slice or cut in half to get a rough measure. This recipe is flexible! In a blender, add just 1 cup of the strawberries, chia seeds (see note, using 1 1/2- 2 tbsp), orange juice or water/maple syrup, and vanilla/salt/dragonfruit powder (if using). Puree until smooth. Add the remaining strawberries and pulse through to roughly chop (keeping some chunky consistency of the strawberries) Alternatively, you can dice by hand and stir into the pureed mixture. , but keeping some chunky consistency of the berries. Transfer the mixture to a Ninja CREAMi pint. Place in freezer and let set overnight. When fully frozen, remove and place in CREAMi spin vessel. Set function to “sorbet” and let spin at least twice. Check consistency. If it’s still icy or not softer-set, spin again. Once smooth and spoonable, it’s ready to serve!
Notes
Orange Juice Note: If you do not want to add a sweetener like maple syrup or date syrup, try 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice. Depending on the sweetness of the juice, and also the ripeness of the berries, you may still opt for a touch of maple syrup. Note that a frozen treat will taste less sweet than the room temperature recipe.
Dragonfruit Powder: I use Wilderness Poets dragonfruit powder. The color is enchanting! Also, it will add a touch of natural sweetness so you may not need/want the maple syrup.
