Older Travelers Can Save 55% off Flights with Frontier’s Latest Sale — What to Know

Frontier Airlines is celebrating older travelers with a huge 55 percent discount for passengers 55 years old and older.

To score the promotion, travelers must book by 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 6 and travel on Mondays through Thursdays or on Saturdays through Feb. 26, 2025, according to Frontier. The discount applies to the base fare on both domestic and international roundtrip flights.

To book, travelers can use the promo code “55FOR55” on Frontier’s website.

“The early bird gets the deals, and we’re offering customers 55 and up a new reason to get a head start on their winter travel plans with the extra savings they deserve,” Tyri Squyres, the vice president of marketing at Frontier Airlines, said in a statement. “With 55% off and a growing list of destinations across the United States and internationally, there are plenty of amazing places for the 55 and older crowd to choose from at even lower fares.”

The sale applies to many of Frontier’s routes, but is not applicable on certain blackout dates from Oct. 11 to 14, Nov. 11 to 12, Nov. 26 to 27, Nov. 30, Dec. 1 to 2, Dec. 21 to 31, Jan. 1 to 7, Feb. 13 to 14, and Feb. 16 to 17.

The discount will not apply to government taxes or fees, or carrier-imposed fees.

In addition, Frontier is temporarily waiving the enrollment fee to join its Discount Den program, a paid subscription service with a $59.99 annual membership fee that typically also includes a $40 enrollment fee for first-time members. The deal, which travelers of all ages can take advantage of, is valid through 11:59 p.m. MT on Oct. 4. Members of the program receive access to flight deals as well as other perks.

Frontier is an ultra-low cost carrier and charges for all extras from seat assignments to baggage allowance. However, the airline recently started offering more inclusive fares like its new economic business class, called BizFare, and its “UpFront Plus” option, which allows travelers to purchase seats in the first two rows with a blocked middle seat.

Earlier this year, Frontier also eliminated nearly all change and cancellation fees
