After receiving the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year award in Dubai, a grateful Pia Wurtzbach used her platform to urge fans to “have an impact and purpose.”
The actress-beauty queen graced The EMIGALA in a sparkly Michael Cinco gown, as seen in a clip shown by Brian de Gracia of @talkaboutpageants through his Instagram page on Monday, April 29.

In her acceptance speech, Wurtzbach said that dreaming of such an honor before would be “reaching for the stars,” but that living in Dubai—where “dreams can come true”—turned it into reality.
“I couldn’t be more grateful,” she stated. “[But] even though it’s amazing to be glammed up, to be in the industry of beauty and fashion, what I want to remind other people that look up to me [is] to put purpose in the things that you do.”
“It’s great to be here, to be receiving an award, but it’s also great to have an impact and purpose,” she said. “So find your passion, find the advocacy that you really care about, because this platform that we all have is truly powerful, and sometimes we take that for granted.”
Wurtzbach added that doing such is also a way of “giving back.” “[This] also reminds me that the work continues.”

EMIGALA is “a star-studded ceremony that aims at honoring various members and contributors to the fashion and beauty industries, both regionally and globally.”
Prior to her EMIGALA award, Wurtzbach also became one of the top celebrities who generated the highest media impact value (MIV) at the Milan Fashion Week in February. Also included in the list was actress-fashion personality Heart Evangelista.
