We first saw the gently curving, compact Ritchey Butano adventure bar five years ago in Taipei when it debuted in affordable aluminum. In those years since, fully integrated cable routing has taken over, and both all-road and gravel bars have embraced more flared bar shapes.

This new fast gravel SuperLogic Butano Ridge bar combines the best of both worlds. It’s a lightweight 1-piece monocoque carbon handlebar + stem combo with fully integrated cable routing channels, plus off-road ready flare and backsweep.

Tech details

Butano means an ergonomic gravel shape. So the Ritchey SuperLogic Butano Ridge gets 17.5° of flare to its drops from the hoods (looking from the front), plus a bit more with an extra 2° of flare just at the flat ends of the drops (viewed from above). And to tuck your elbows in, 5° of backsweep to the flattened rounded aero tops.

It’s Ritchey’s classic compact round bend, so 73mm of Reach and 115mm of Drop.

The new bar+stem cockpit comes in two widths 42cm or 44cm, measured center-to-center at the hoods – which with the flare comes out 9.1cm wider at the ends of the drops. Effective stem lengths are 90, 100, or 110mm, with a -10° stem angle.

Cable routing is internal in the top of the bar, but never actually goes inside the stem. That way then, cables are relatively easy to manage and can be used with a variety of setups. Fully-internal, semi-internal, and conventional external routing setups. Cables exit the bar into a recessed channel under the stem. And one of two covers can direct them where needed. An integrated steerer spacer also can guide them into your headset. Like the internal routing Ritchey Switch system.

Additionally, the same two bolts that secure these covers, serve as mounting points for a direct-mount out-front GPS mount.
