As an Olympic and Paralympic partner, Samsung wanted to create customized mobile technology to enhance the experiences of athletes at the Games–encouraging them to connect with their teammates and competitors and capture memories digitally while staying in touch with family and friends back home. The phone boasts a golden-yellow design engraved with the Olympic and Paralympic logos.
This smartphone will be the first to ever appear on the podium in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In the past, mobile phones have been prohibited at medal ceremonies. Athletes will now have the chance to bring their new Samsung phones to the podium to capture their memories.
The device, worth about CAD $1,500, is a token of support from Samsung to the inspiring Olympians. A custom Flipsuit Case, made of Venezia leather and vibrant colours, accompanies the phone. The case was designed by Parisian luxury clothing brand, Berluti, a line that also created the uniforms that Team France is wearing at the Paris 2024 opening ceremonies.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 features Samsung’s cutting-edge Galaxy AI technology. It comes with 100 GB of data, unlimited calling and texting, and pre-installed apps, including athlete365 and useful hotlines, to aid with navigating the games and enriching the connections they build. Pre-loaded passes for unlimited public transport around the city and complimentary beverages from vending machines around the villages.
