New York is celebrating the new year in style with discounted museum tickets, Broadway shows, and more to make a trip to the Big Apple truly memorable.
The discounts are part of the city’s NYC Winter Outing celebration, which runs from Jan. 21 through Feb. 9, 2025. Reservations open on Jan. 7 for savings on shows, must-see attractions, and even meals at popular restaurants across the city, New York City Tourism + Conventions shared with Travel + Leisure.
“NYC Winter Outing… [offers] some of the year’s best value for travelers,” Tiffany Townsend, the executive vice president, communications at New York City Tourism + Conventions, told T+L. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore dozens of neighborhoods and experience the best of NYC, all while making the most of your budget.”
To start, the city is putting Broadway tickets on sale where theater fans can buy two for the price of one, allowing visitors and New Yorkers alike to experience popular shows and discover new ones.
The city is also putting must-see attractions on sale, offering 2-for-1 tickets to participating museums, attractions, performing arts shows, and tours. These include some of the best things to do in New York from museums like The Met and MoMA to jazz at Lincoln Center, visiting the Top of the Rock, tours of Yankee Stadium, and more.
And to top it all off, locals and visitors can score great deals at hundreds of restaurants across all five boroughs with 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners available for $30, $45, and $60. The cost of the prix-fixe menu depends on the restaurant.
Participating restaurants include abcV, the iconic Union Square Café, Tavern on the Green, Melba’s, Gage & Tollner, and more.
These deals are in addition to the 25 percent off stays at more than 120 hotels from Jan. 2 through Feb. 9 as part of the city’s annual NYC Hotel Week. That discount is available off the hotel’s standard rates.
