Spirit Has $50 One-way Fares With Its Latest Sale — How to Book

Autumn is considered an off-peak travel season for many destinations, making it an ideal time to snag a great flight deal. Spirit Airlines is the latest carrier to discount a wide range of flights, with one-way fares available from $50 for a limited time.

“With these deals, you can turn those endless chats into real-life fun,” the airline shared about the promotion on its website. “Book a great deal now and make it happen.”

The airline’s “Get the Girl’s Trip Out of the Group Chat” sale ends tonight, Sep. 17, at 11:59 p.m. ET, and can be booked directly on Spirit’s website. These promotional fares are available for travel between Sep. 23 and Dec. 18. However, travel between Nov. 21 and Dec. 1 is excluded from the sale, in addition to all Friday and Sunday flights.

No discount code is required to find these deals, and Travel + Leisure found a ton of $50 one-way tickets bookable through the end of 2024:

  • Atlanta (ATL) to/from Baltimore (BWI), Chicago (ORD), New Orleans (MSY), Philadelphia (PHL), and Tampa (TPA)
  • Boston (BOS) to/from Charleston (CHS), Houston (IAH), Myrtle Beach (MYR), and Norfolk (ORF)
  • Burbank (BUR) to/from Oakland (OAK) and Las Vegas (LAS)
  • Dallas (DFW) to/from Los Angeles (LAX), Phoenix (PHX), and San Jose (SJC)
  • Las Vegas (LAS) to/from Austin (AUS), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Seattle (SEA)

Even cross-country routes, such as Spirit’s nonstop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Atlanta (LAX), can be booked for marginally more, starting at $55 one-way. However, these sale fares are exclusively available in Spirit’s “Go” fare class, which includes a free personal item but charges extra for additional services.

That said, Spirit recently overhauled its ticketing options, with some upgraded fares now including carry-on bags, seat selection, Wi-Fi, and other perks. Earlier this year, the low-cost airline made a major update by allowing all passengers to change or cancel their flights without penalties.
