Studio Spotlight: Inner Landing – Blog

Inner Landing is a new wellness centre based in North-West London opened by Rebecca Moore. Rebecca is a meditation, breathwork and bodywork facilitator and author passionate about sharing tools and resources for self and shared nurturance. We spoke with Rebecca to find out more about the space and her inspirations behind it…

Tell us a bit about your background and your yoga journey…

I come from a creative background, beginning my career as a makeup artist for TV and film, before heading up a fashion and arts magazine for almost 10 years. Yoga was introduced to me during that time by a friend of mine who sold it to me as an easy way to keep fit. Of course I very quickly realised there was a lot more to it than that. My yoga practice created a huge shift in my life and inspired me to prioritise healing and expanding my consciousness. As I experienced the benefits of yoga and yogic philosophy, I became passionate about wanting to share these practices and ancient wisdom with others. So I did trainings and began teaching.

What inspired you to open Inner Landing and when did you open the space?

I’ve always dreamt of having a physical container that feels safe and healing. To practice, to express, to explore and expand. Somewhere that I can hold space for myself and for others. A sanctuary for people to retreat within. A canvas for fellow practitioners to create and share their healing gifts. Back in March this year, a dear friend of mine who believed in my vision found this space and after a series of magical synchronicities, I moved in on the 15th of May and opened almost immediately.

What is your mission with Inner Landing?

My mission for Inner Landing is to be a nurturing and expansive space for devotional practice and community. I want to share transformational experiences and wisdom that create ripples of love, collective healing and high vibrations. My dream is for the impact of what we share within these walls to spread into the homes of others, to their family, friends, communities and beyond.

How is Inner Landing different from other wellness spaces?

We have 400 square metres of flexible open space, yoga equipment, a large kitchen area, multiple bedrooms, and a triple-height courtyard. Rather than daily classes, we have a schedule of unique events, workshops, retreats and trainings. There’s a real emphasis on community connection, and space to land when guests arrive – and before they leave. It feels like home!

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of opening their own wellness space or studio?

Be clear on your purpose and mission. Hold your vision and work towards it with enthusiasm and trust. Try not to spread yourself too thin. Make sure you have incredible support around you and boundaries of steel with your time, energy, self-care and rest.

Do you have a quote or mantra that you live by?

I have many! I recite ‘Om Dum Durgayei Namaha’ every morning as my japa mantra meditation practice, honouring the Hindu Goddess Durga, the invincible force of creation. An affirmation given to me to work with recently is “I am one with God. Where God is, all is. I also regularly affirm “All that is possible, is possible for me”.
