Taco Skillet
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 tablespoon avocado oil
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
-
1 packet taco seasoning
-
4 oz beef bone broth
-
½ tsp cumin
-
½ tsp paprika
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
½ cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
-
1 roma tomato, diced
-
½ large avocado, sliced
-
2 tbsp sour cream
-
Cilantro and jalapeno to garnish
Directions:
-
In a large sauce pan, add your avocado oil and ground beef. Cook ground beef until it’s about ¾ of the way done (about 5 mins) on medium high heat.
-
Add in your onion and garlic and saute with ground beef until translucent and fully cooked (about 3 more minutes).
-
Now, add your taco seasoning packet, salt, pepper and any extra seasonings like cumin and paprika. I love adding extra seasonings, but the taco packet should be just fine.
-
Add your beef bone broth and cook until your skillet has thickened. You don’t want it to look dry.
-
Top with Mexican blend cheese and all your toppings (tomato, avocado, sour cream, cilantro) and serve!
