A walk to start out the day and time outside with the kids because it was SIXTY degrees. I’m not mad about that.
Not much happened yesterday, it was a mundane one, but we did have the most delicious meal. Maria told us about this viral chuck roast recipe, roasted brussel sprouts, and these rolls that Brooke made! It felt very fancy for a Monday night.
Now for some tangents:
*This instant pot cilantro lime rice that my sister makes needs to be talked about. Brooke and I went back for fourths.
*The other day, I opened the bathroom door to find Beck standing on the toilet and peeing into the sink a foot away. He was having the time of his life.
*I got a walking treadmill for my desk, and I’m in love with it so far (full review coming soon). Nothing makes my body feel better than walking (or lying down), so walking slowly while I type away is a game changer.
*Lonely Planet sent me this book and it has me bookmarking so many runs that I must get the chance to do. Using this book as motivation to continue to be smart about my healing so I can do all of these runs:
*Emilee told me about this TENS Unit Muscle Stimulator from Amazon ($36!!!). It has helped my back/nerve so much on its worst days and will help in recovery when I am training again. Never has $36 brought me so much relief.
*Our friend’s medal rack. GOALS!
*I’ve been french braiding the girls’ hair after their showers at night, and I love how it looks the next day when we take it out.
*Knox told me to share his stress eating combo to you from the BYU game the other night… Eggnog and takis.
*I wanted to share my dear friend’s story. She means the world to our family. She lost her grandson ten months ago and then lost her son and another grandson last week, all from the same family. If you want to help at all, here is the gofundme for the wife who lost her husband and two sons all this year. It is truly heartbreaking.
