The Arctix Ski Bib Overalls Are Warm and Versatile

I’m a 36-year-old travel writer who had never seen snow until my recent trip to Banff in Alberta, Canada last month. The moment I got the invitation, I was all in, and like any seasoned traveler, I quickly began to plan my packing list. Unlike my other trips, this one didn’t quite work with my usual travel wardrobe — because it was going to be snowy and below-freezing.

These snow pants are incredibly comfortable and warm, and the fit is perfect. I ordered my usual size but chose the shorter inseam, which I love because there are three lengths available to get the right fit. They’re not only comfortable and flattering but also roomy enough to layer a pair of leggings underneath for extra warmth. With 27 colors available, I chose the Night Blue, a gorgeous navy with some charcoal detailing. They stand out in the crisp, white snow and pair nicely with my favorite Disco Magenta Pippa Puffer.

On my winter getaway, I wore them during a visit to a wolf dog sanctuary, a snowy walk through Spray Valley Provincial Park, and a three-mile hike in Johnston Canyon to see the frozen waterfalls. I felt cozy and dry the entire time, all thanks to the waterproof design of these Arctix snow pants.

The pants have a couple of zippered pockets that are spacious enough to fit essentials like your phone and lip balm, and the straps on the bib are adjustable, allowing you to find the perfect fit. Plus, there are boot gaiters with grippers to keep them snug around your shoes, providing extra protection against the elements. I really enjoyed the bib design because it added warmth to my chest, especially since I was new to such frigid temperatures (it dropped to -6 degrees Fahrenheit!). However, when the temperature rose to a balmy 36 degrees Fahrenheit, I could easily unzip the bib for a little relief during my waterfall hike.

One Amazon shopper pointed out that these pants “keep you toasty without the bulk,” which really appealed to me since I didn’t want to feel like a giant marshmallow in my first pair of snow pants. Another reviewer described them as “surprisingly warm,” noting that they wore them snowboarding and fell a few times, yet never felt wet or cold. Although I didn’t have any spills in the snow, I can still say I never felt cold or damp in these pants.

I’m thrilled that my first winter adventure was so warm and smooth, thanks to my Arctix bib overalls. They’re easy to pack, incredibly comfortable, and perfect for all winter conditions. I’m already looking forward to my next snowy getaway — I might even get them in another color.
