Holy Week PeloPics: Ace photographer, John Thomson, had a busy Easter chasing and shooting the Classics: Flanders, Roubaix and the Scheldeprijs. As always, John shows us a different view with his unique angle of pro cycling’s Holy Week.

John Thomson: “This is my “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Holy Week Photo Gallery”. It includes shots from the Oude Kwaremont at the Tour of Flanders, the Scheldeprijs and the Carrefour de l’Arbre at Paris Roubaix. The good performances, the bad rider injuries and a bit of ugly fan behaviour. Plus some other shots from the amazing Holy Week.”
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Good. Mathieu was very good
The Bad. No Wout at Holy Week was bad news for all cycling fans
And the Ugly. Mathieu was spat at and had beer tossed at him and this Italian fan had an almost full can of beer thrown at his face. The vast majority of fans were friendly and in a good mood and showed support for all the riders. But there were also a few boorish fans and drunken idiots
