These 12 Destinations Will Have Cheaper Flights in 2025, According to This Flight Deals App

Planning international travel in 2025 will be a lot easier thanks to a wave of new flights kicking off in the new year. Even better, these flights are expected to be more affordable than ever.

This insight comes from Going, a flight deals app that alerts users of new fare discounts from their preferred airports. The company recently published its report on the top 12 destinations to visit and has already shared great flight deals to these locations, with more expected throughout the new year.

“What do you get when the Golden Age of Cheap Flights collides with new routes to destinations as a result of sky-high post-pandemic travel demand?” the company shared on its website. “We call it 2025.”

United Airlines plays a significant role in five of the destinations on this list. The major U.S. carrier has introduced flights to far-flung locations such as Greenland, Mongolia, Senegal, Palau, and Dominica. With nonstop service from its hubs like Washington-Dulles (IAD) and Newark (EWR), United is bringing affordable commercial air service to these previously remote destinations in 2025.

Italy is once again anticipated to be a popular destination next summer. Fortunately, travelers are in luck as United Airlines and Delta Air Lines are introducing seasonal service to two airports: Palermo (PMO) and Catania (CTA), respectively.

For those seeking cooler European destinations, Scandinavia should be a top choice, with a surge in new flights from major domestic airlines and international carriers like SAS to cities such as Oslo, Stockholm, and Copenhagen. Likewise, Iceland will remain a favorite East Coast getaway in 2025, offering some of the best deals for budget-conscious travelers.

In Asia and the South Pacific, Fiji and Macau stand out as must-visit destinations. Going has shared roundtrip deals to both regions for under $600 this year and expects to see more flight drops in 2025.

The only domestic destination on this list? New Haven, Conn. Once lacking commercial air service, the small airport is now home to two low-cost carriers with connections to dozens of airports nationwide. Finally, transborder flights have gained popularity, with U.S. and Canadian carriers offering affordable options. The report highlights the possibility of scoring roundtrip flights to Canada for under $200.
