These 12 incredible women together have lost 127 kilos in JUST 12 weeks!


Wow wow wow!!!! These some of the superhero women who have completely transformed themselves on The Healthy Mummy’s 12 Week Challenge!!!

There were so many amazing success stories. Well done to everyone who committed to the 12 Week Challenge. Cassandra and Kirsty were our top winners, and they each received $5,000 from The Healthy Mummy.

12 women have lost BIG numbers on The Healthy Mummy’s 12 Week Challenge

1. Cassandra Perrin – 30 kilos 80cms

Cassandra is 41 from Bredbo in NSW and is mum to 6 beautiful children aged 19 to 6 years old. She admits that pouring her heart and soul into her amazing family for the last 22 years meant that she lost herself a bit along the way.

In fact, Cassandra says that following a couple of stressful pregnancies, special needs children and dealing with the challenges of them as teenagers, led to her weight gain.

“I got depressed and it was a vicious cycle. I was stoked when the 12 challenge was announced as this was what I needed,” she says.

“I had 12 weeks of support and accountability with a group of women who were all there doing the same thing, I could do it in the safety of my home and still be connected to a support system of an amazing community and be held accountable each week with my weigh-in, measurements and progress photos.

“I didn’t have to go to a gym. As a morbidly obese lady with social anxiety and depression, this was amazing. I was excited to be a part of a community and still be hidden.”

2. Kirsty Whitehead – 18.5 kilos 72 cms

Kirsty Whitehead has lost a whopping 18.5 kilo and 72cm on the 12 Week Challenge. The 39-year-old SA-based mum has been following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge since 2015 and had lost 38.9kg in total.

“Just before the 12 Week Challenge was announced I made a decision to focus on ME and my wants. The timing was perfect and I wanted to give it my all,” she says.

“My pledge was to be committed to myself. To not give up, to focus on my whole self, my physical, emotionally and also my inner health. To lose 10 kilos.”

In total Kristy has now lost a massive 33.9kgs! See her results below!

3. Christine Hamann – 13 kilos

Christine Hamann has lost 13kg and 32cm in just 12 weeks on the 12 Week Challenge!

The South Australian-based mum-of-three decided to sign up to the Challenge because she needed to give herself a kick start.

“I had become complacent on my health journey and the scales were slowly starting to rise again,” she admits.

“My pledge was to lose 5kgs and to stay consistent the whole way through and I surpassed my pledge and lost 13kg and 32cm.”

4. Cyrstal Joy Maguire – 11.2 Kilos

This Grafton-based mum has lost 11.2kg in JUST 12 weeks on The Healthy Mummy’s 12 Week Challenge!

Crystal has been following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge since the end of April 2021 but really started it when the first round of the 12 Week Challenge started in May 2021.

“I decided to join as I saw a photo of me full length on our holiday in April 2021 and it was so terrible that I said I couldn’t look like this anymore and my son needs a healthy fit mum to keep up with and not to be an embarrassment to my son,” she says.

5. Jasmine Ready – 10.5 kilos

What a transformation Jasmine Ready has had on the 12 Week Challenge, losing 10.3kg and 37cm off her body!

The Queensland-based mum has been a member of the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge since 2016 and has lost a grand total of 39kg in that time!

Jasmine signed up to the 12 Week Challenge because she wanted to lose between 10-12kg and fit in her dress!

“Amazingly, the dress was able to do up at six weeks and I changed my pledged for the other six weeks to get my back rolls gone,” she says.

“Now, I am stronger and fitter every week and keep heading towards my goal. I used the app for everything during the 12 Week Challenge and continued on using it.”

6. Patricia McErlean – 10 kilos

Patricia McErlean has lost 10.5kg with help from The Healthy Mummy on the 12 Week Challenge and the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

The 67-year-old mum-of-three and grandma says, “I heard about The Healthy Mummy when my daughter started on the program after her third baby was born.

“She was an older mum, not having her first baby until she was 38 and her third at age 43 (almost 44). She was like me and had always gained more weight than needed during her pregnancy. I started with The Healthy Mummy and have not looked back since.”

7. Joann Johns 8.8 kilos

Joann Johns has lost nearly 9kg and 42cm on the 12 Week Challenge!

The Coffs Harbour-based mum-of-three, who is also a grandmother, has been following The Healthy Mummy for a couple of years.

“I haven’t really committed to it until the 12 Week Challenge. I’ve had a couple of surgeries, one being a total knee replacement,” she says.

“I wanted to put myself in the best possible position for a great outcome, and of course, losing weight is my number one priority.”

8. Vanessa Teakle – 7.3 kilo weight loss

Vanessa Teakle managed to lose 7.3 kilos on the 12 week challenge!

This mum of two children from Geelong in Victoria pledged to stay consistent and work out at least 3 times a week.

Her efforts more than paid off with her not only losing 7.3 kilos, but also 20 cms from her body.

9. Kerri-Lea Strasburg Wilson 6.1 kilo weight loss

Mum of 2 Kerri -Lea from Queensland lost an impressive 6.1 kilos on the 12 week challenge and only regrets not knowing about the Healthy Mummy sooner!

She says, “I wish I knew of you guys this after I had kids over 10 years ago!”

Kerri Lea was keen to get back into exercise following shoulder surgery.

“I had shoulder reconstruction surgery last yr in July and hadn’t worked out for 3 years prior because of the pain. My pledge was to build strength and gain my muscle back to do at least 45 minutes of the workouts you guys provided.” 

Kerri Lea stuck to her pledge and dropped from 77.1 kilos to 71.2 kilos at the end of the challenge.

10. Tammy McDonald – 4.9 kilos

Tammy McDonald from Clarkson, WA was thrilled with her results from the 12 Week Challenge.

She says, “During the challenge I lost 4.9kg and a whopping 49cm!’ 

The forty year old mum of 4 was determined that this wasn’t going to be just a diet and changes were going to be for the long term.

“My pledge was to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.”

11. Sarina Slater – 4.5 kilos

Sarina kept herself in check by drinking heaps of water and working out as much as she could every week for 12 weeks.

“I have lost 4.5kgs and also lost 20cm in the 12 weeks challenge,” she says. “I drank two litres of water everyday. Did a dance workout, did cardio three days a week and went for a walk twice a week.”

12. Bernie Fanning – 2.8 kilos

Bernie is looking fabulous and she’s also noticed she’s built muscle while on this Challenge.

“What I’m most happy about is the centimetres lost around my waist but I gained centimetres in my arms, which means I’m building muscle,” she says.

“My pledge was to workout four times a week, drink two litres of water a day to reduce my visceral and body fat. To feel happy fit and strong . To get 10,000 steps Monday to Friday and include a healthy mummy smoothie or protein shake. Also to include self care.

“I succeed most days and I definitely feel happy fit and strong.”
