This Bang Bang Sauce is Better than Bonefish Grill • Low Carb with Jennifer

Bang Bang sauce is a creamy and slightly spicy sauce that goes perfectly with fish of all kinds, shrimp, chicken, or salmon. I’ve tried the original and I believe this homemade sauce recipe is even better.

Living in central Arkansas, our restaurant scene could be much better. We don’t even have a Cheesecake Factory! One we do have, though, is Bonefish Grill Restaurant. I’ve been, I’ve tried the famous Bang Bang Shrimp Appetizer with the popular sauce, and I must say I was a bit disappointed.

My copycat recipe of the famous sauce is much much better. It has the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, salty, and acidic balance. Once you start making your own tasty dips at home, you will skip takeout because you know your version is better!

What is bang bang sauce used for?

This mayo-based sauce can be used for so many things! I have used it for my own bang bang shrimp recipe, as well as crispy tofu, chunks of chicken, and baked salmon. It would also be a great dipping sauce for chicken wings, crab cakes, chicken nuggets, and French fries.

Bang bang sauce without sriracha

In this spicy dipping sauce I use sriracha to give it a bit of heat. If you don’t have that on hand, you can use your favorite hot sauce or cayenne pepper is a great option.
