This Glamorous Riviera Is Known as the ‘St. Tropez of Turkey’ — and It Just Got a New All-suite and Villa Resort

With its high-fashion boutiques, trendy clubs, and luxury resorts, Bodrum certainly warrants its moniker as the “St. Tropez of Turkey.” The coastal destination, which overlooks both the Aegean and the Mediterranean seas, is one of the world’s most exclusive vacation spots. On May 17, it will welcome a new all-suite and villa resort nestled along a lush bay, offering top-notch culinary experiences, wellness, and entertainment.

Maxx Royal Resort will boast some of the region’s most exclusive hospitality offerings, including several high-profile partnerships with brands like Scorpios, Caviar Kaspia, Spago by Wolfgang Puck, and the area’s largest kids’ club. “Bodrum is Türkiye’s glamorous riviera, so we’re thrilled to bring the luxurious Maxx Royal Resort brand to the destination’s opulent shores,” Banu Akan, executive brand director at Maxx Royal Resorts, told Travel + Leisure. “At the brand-new Maxx Royal Bodrum, we’ll be offering our discerning guests a plethora of opportunities to indulge in unparalleled, ultra-luxury suites and experiences—whether it be premier dining at concepts such as the iconic Caviar Kaspia and private yacht tours or extensive wellness programs at Maxx WellBeing Spa, and beyond.”

There will also be a strong focus on art and design at the property, which will have two art galleries displaying high-value artworks by contemporary artists and a summer art residency program. Additionally, resort guests will enjoy a digital installation by renowned new media artist Refik Anadol, displayed in the lobby, and a monumental sculpture by French conceptual artist Bernar Venet, welcoming travelers to the resort’s marina.

The 282 suites come with private balconies and five-star in-room amenities like fragrance and pillow menus, Diptyque bathroom toiletries, and plush bathrobes and slippers. Travelers who would like to splurge should consider booking the Presidential villa with five bedrooms, a private heated saltwater pool, and many wellness facilities like a steam room and a sauna.

However, one of the stand-out features of the new property is its stellar food and beverage program, which comprises over ten dining spots. Highlights include the first Turkish outpost of the renowned Parisian seafood eatery Caviar Kaspia, a contemporary Italian restaurant by Michelin-awarded chef Alfredo Russo, and the first Bodrum location of Spago by Wolfgang Puck.

Maxx Royal Bodrum will also be home to the first Scorpios beach club outside of Mykonos. In addition to day- and night-time entertainment and a restaurant, guests can book overnight stays in Scorpios-branded bungalows with entertainment areas, bathtubs, and an infinity pool overlooking the Aegean.

Boasting over 48,000 square feet of wellness amenities, including 20 treatment rooms, a gym, an extensive list of hydro and thermal therapies, and an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, the resort’s spa will center around delivering R&R experiences rooted in Eastern and Western healing practices, using locally sourced products (such as rose water) and skincare products by internationally-acclaimed brands like Biologique Recherche and Swiss Perfection.

Children and families also have plenty to look forward to as the resort will boast the largest kids’ club in Bodrum, with a workshop room, a mini performance stage, a party room, a movie theater, a game room, and a curated list of cultural experiences.

Nightly rates at Maxx Royal Bodrum start from $820, based on double occupancy, including breakfast and complimentary access to the Maxxi Land Kid’s Club.
