This Mexican Beach City Is Getting Its First All-inclusive Luxury Villa Hotel — and Each Comes With a Private Infinity Pool

Mexico has some of the best all-inclusive resorts in the world — places where you can enjoy unlimited food (and sometimes, drinks) all day long. And while travelers love not having to stress about paying for dinner or tipping on their morning coffee, all-inclusive stays often lack the personal touch that can make a stay memorable.

That’s not the case at Trobbu Tulum, which will be the Mexican beach town’s first all-inclusive villa hotel when it officially opens in January 2025. Here, there will be just 10 standalone villas, ensuring each guest will be treated to the luxury of privacy and the promise of personalized service in addition to optional all-inclusive dining.

The villas have three bedrooms and 3.5 baths across three floors and 2,745 square feet of space set in the jungle at the edge of Tulum, offering guests the experience of living in Tulum’s dense, tropical jungle. The best part: guests will have the amenities of a hotel. Each villa also has a private infinity pool, a terrace with sun loungers, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bar and grill area.

“We are delighted to introduce our first property, Trobbu Boutique Collection Tulum, to the market. The villas and offerings have been designed to give guests the opportunity to reconnect with themselves and create memories with travel companions while experiencing a truly remarkable getaway in one of the most beautiful places in the world,” Elías Barbosa, Trobbu’s managing director, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure. “We want visitors to feel the comfort of being at home paired with luxury services to elevate the overall experience.”

Outside of the villas is a gathering space with a fitness center and a spa. Guests who opt to book the optional all-inclusive dining package will be treated to in-villa dining — meaning you can enjoy local, freshly made food in the comfort of your villa. Offerings include themed nights, like Taco Tuesday, along with menus that showcase the flavors of the world, from Mexican cuisine to Lebanese.

The all-inclusive option is free for kids ages three and under, $60 a day for kids, and $80 a day for adults. The rate includes a daily breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, and a pizza bar. There is a grill package available for an additional cost.

Guests at Trobbu Tulum will also have a dedicated team of concierges who can provide undivided care and attention thanks to the property’s small size. Trobbu activities include wine tastings, cooking and mixology classes, karaoke, photoshoots, and wellness classes, along with local adventures like visiting cenotes and yacht rentals. There are also a handful of kid-specific activities, from pizza-making classes to yoga.

The upcoming opening of Trobbu Tulum is timed well with the recent opening of Tulum Airport (TQO), which opened in December 2023 and started welcoming international flights in March 2024. Currently, several U.S. carriers, including American, Delta, United, and JetBlue are flying into Tulum from U.S. cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Newark, and New York City.
