WOW! Kelly White looks incredible! She’s lost 54kg after signing up to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge!
Amazingly, this mum has been able to turn her life around, get her health back on track and she’s also dropped six dress sizes!
“I feel like a completely different person, I don’t recognise myself in photos,” she says.
How Kelly lost 54kg and put her health back on track
The Bendigo-based mum-of-four reveals she knew she needed to make a change after she found herself struggling to breathe at times.
“I was becoming really unhealthy, my asthma was getting worse and I was struggling to breathe,” she says.
“I had arthritis in my feet and knees and it was being impacted by the extra weight, plus my body was sore and achy all the time.”
In fact, the 40-year-old says she was embarrassed by how she looked.
“I was taking two types of blood pressure medication, had a blood test and pre diabetes symptoms and it terrified me,” she says.
“Not long after, I saw an awful photo of myself from a friends wedding. I was embarrassed by my appearance.
“I was ashamed and disgusted at myself for becoming so unfit, unhealthy and unhappy. Then I decided that was enough, it was time to put my big girl pants on and change what I didn’t like about myself.”
Kelly has gone from 133kg down to 79kg
While Kelly isn’t a fan of using the scales, she says her weight was over 133kg.
“I’m not sure exactly what my weight was but it was the biggest I’d ever been,.I had been overweight all my life and was so terrified of scales,” she says.
“I joined The Healthy Mummy Facebook page and started reading other people’s amazing stories and trying a few recipes. It was the first time I started counting calories.
“I signed up to The Healthy Mummy app and I’ve never looked back. I’ve lost 54 kgs in total and am currently 79kgs. I’ve gone from a size 26 down to a size 14.”
Health benefits of losing the weight
Best of all, Kelly says her doctor has been surprised at the results of her last blood test.
“All my levels were in normal range, I’ve stopped taking one of my blood pressure tablets and I can breathe easier, my asthma is under control and I stopped snoring,” she says.
“I am also not getting much foot pain and the constant aches in my body have almost disappeared.”
And that’s not all! Kelly says she also has heaps more energy and motivation.
“I’ve gained so much confidence and no longer hide from the camera,” she admits. “I jump in photos voluntarily now and have many selfies in my camera roll.”
