(long-sleeve… I have no idea how to dress like a biker so I will always wear my running clothes)
We got out on our bikes together. Andrew rode his mountain bike to give himself a bit of a challenge because he is way faster than I am on a road bike, but we had a blast… And to think I was worried about this change in life with all of the kids being in school at the same time for a few hours a week;). I think we will be just fine.
There is something special about bringing back an old hobby into your life again. I remembered why I used to love doing this so much.
I didn’t fall while trying to get my feet in and out of the clips, I’ve been very worried about this. The only negative from the ride was the amount of bugs that got stuck in my lipgloss on the way down.
I made it up to this ranch to touch the gate. I will never grow out of the stage of needing to touch the sign/gate at the top of whatever challenge I am attempting. It almost feels illegal not to touch the gate. I’m happy that biking doesn’t hurt my hamstring at all.
A special thank you to the woman who owned this bike before me for finding the most comfortable bike seat. I didn’t know such a thing was possible, and I was expecting to be hurting for days, but nope, it was so comfortable.
And now for the rest of everything…
This experience was a big highlight for Beck. I need to figure out how we can rent one for his birthday.
Skye taught Beck gymnastics during Brooke’s scrimmage against the boys team.
For dinner we got to go out with some friends for Thai. I always contemplate ordering something other than Massaman but I never do because it is so good.
Did anyone see the Northern Lights last night? We tried to, but it was too cloudy.
I have only one Friday favorite today and it’s the fact that it’s time for my favorite boots in the world to come out of storage. I have worn these for years and I’m still so in love with them.
