(vest. jacket, leggings, gloves, beanie)
We have two days to cover because I would be lost without documenting every day of my life like I have for the last 14+ years, haha. <–I try not to think too hard about that because this is strange.
I had a great run on Tuesday, and I’m really happy with the Superblast 2s. I don’t notice any differences compared to the first version (you can read my review HERE). <–I think they are borderline the perfect shoe, and I was worried they would make big changes. So many shoes out there feel like they break down or feel flat after 200-300 miles, but you will not have that problem with these. The Superblast is the longest-lasting shoe I’ve ever owned (2nd place = adidas Adizero Adios Pro). One thing I’ve really noticed with this pair (other than how light they are, the spring, and the cushioning that makes you want to run fast ((not sink into)) is that they help me out running uphill. I don’t know what it is, but these make running uphill feel easier, and they help me with my form and stride. They are magical.
Just me coloring my roots and eyebrows… I was so nervous doing this for my first time ever but luckily, my hair gal is the one that gave me the correct color to use.
We did nothing for most of the day of NYE, but I did make this dip. It is so good.
Our first party was with Jessie. We met at BYU Hawaii in 2006, and I’ll forever be grateful I went there alone and that she did, too. We met the first day and became lifelong friends.
The party they threw was so fun for the kids and included kid activities from Kristina herself.
My kids were truly in heaven.
Once that one was over, we went to my friend Todd’s house. I can watch the kids on the TV while at Todd’s house as they live their best lives climbing walls and being in the foam pit. So many of my running friends were at the party with their families, too.
Knox really got into the Karaoke.
I hit the wall so hard at 11:30 pm, but we soldiered through. For the first time ever we were all up later than Andrew. He worked both days and needed sleep to survive his next shift.
Sleeping in was required for all of us, but I did jump on the bike once I was awake on New Year’s Day. It’s crazy how much sleep affects our workouts and entire lives;). There’s a reason, I prefer a 9 pm bedtime.
New Year’s Day was dedicated to family time and cousins.
I’m not going to let them go back to school😉
