You Can Now Get TSA PreCheck at These Airports

It’s about to become easier to enroll in the coveted TSA PreCheck program right at the airport thanks to Clear. 

The biometric company, which is an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, is expanding its locations with seven new airports across the United States, according to the company. With this addition, Clear will operate TSA PreCheck enrollment centers at 20 airports in total. 

“TSA PreCheck with enrollment by Clear provides a fast and efficient airport experience,” Clear CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker said in a statement. “This is a win-win for U.S. travelers who will have access to more enrollment locations, expanded hours and other benefits.”

Going forward, Clear will now allow travelers to enroll in the Trusted Traveler program in the following airports: 

• Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
• San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
• Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP)
• Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
• William P. Hobby International Airport (HOU)
• George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
• Long Beach Airport (LGB)

These airport locations are in addition to the previous TSA PreCheck enrollment centers the company already operated, including in major airports like John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Clear is one of several providers authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to enroll or renew TSA PreCheck memberships in person. Travelers who are approved are allowed to leave their shoes, belts, and light jackets on and leave their laptops and liquids in their bags when going through airport security. 

The cost to renew a TSA PreCheck membership with Clear costs $77.95 in person and costs $68.95 to renew online.

Beyond its ability to enroll travelers in TSA PreCheck, members of Clear are welcome to use a separate security line at airport checkpoints by identifying themselves through biometric scans (fingerprint or eye scans). A Clear Plus membership for airports costs $189 a year, but there are several credit cards that either reimburse or discount the fee.

Clear also offers a discount when travelers pay for both Clear Plus and TSA PreCheck at the same time, selling both for a total of $190.95.
